The studio Brighton drives to

Brighton has the creatives. What it is short of is a true drive-in infinity cove, a rain rig and somewhere to park the van. All three are about 50 minutes along the A27, in a 16th-century barn near Chichester.

In short: Granary Digital is a film and photo studio about 50 minutes from Brighton along the A27: a 5.3m x 7.1m infinity cove, a rain rig, a green screen, a podcast suite and fifteen free parking spaces. White Space hire from £295+VAT a half day.

What the city cannot give you

Brighton and Hove hold the biggest creative community on the south coast, and its studios are good at what city studios are good at. What the city cannot easily offer is space: a full-size drive-in cove, a rain rig, blackout you can trust and parking that does not start with a permit app.

That is the trade we offer. Fifty-ish minutes west along the A27, straight run, no town centre at either end, and you load in at ground level with the van outside the door. The day rate stays regional while the kit list reads like a much bigger facility.

Photographers and directors from Brighton, Hove, Worthing and Shoreham use the barn for the jobs the city cannot hold: cars on the cove, rain sequences, full-blackout music videos and multi-set content days.

How it works

1. Brief call

Twenty minutes on what you do, who you want to reach and what the content is for. Free, and useful even if you never book.

2. The plan

We map a shot list and a running order to your calendar, so the day is booked against real posts and real campaigns.

3. The day

You and your people come to the barn. We direct, film and photograph the lot. Most clients say it is the easiest shoot they have done.

4. Edit & deliver

Cut, graded, captioned and sized per platform, delivered through a shared gallery ready to publish.

Fifty minutes is shorter than it sounds

It is one road. The A27 runs from Brighton past Worthing and Arundel to our junction near Chichester, and against loading restrictions, parking apps and a city-centre get-in, the drive usually wins on total time as well as on nerves. Crews from further east make it work too: the same road carries on to Lewes and Eastbourne.
