The White Space is the room most people mean when they say the studio. It's a two-wall infinity cove, 5.3 metres wide by 7.1 deep, with 4.5 metres to the lighting grid. The sweep has a 70 centimetre radius, so the flat white floor in front of it is roughly 4.6 by 6.4. Hire it for 295 pounds plus VAT a half day, or 395 for a full day, with the house rig and grip included. Need it dark? A curtain track runs right round, and the white cove becomes a black box in about 20 minutes. It has held a cottage interior for a Channel 4 drama, a DeLorean and a Land Rover Defender. What it handles
Panel discussions, vehicle shoots and custom set builds all fit. The cove has held a cottage interior for a Channel 4 drama, built here over five days by our construction team, an underground well for a materials manufacturer, a DeLorean with its doors up and a Land Rover Defender, all on this floor. Black it out and it becomes a film stage. Keep it white and it is a catalogue machine.
The cove, measured
The sweep where wall meets floor has a 70cm radius, the walls are 4.5m high and the return on the third wall is 60cm, so the flat white floor in front of the curve is roughly 4.6m by 6.4m. The floor is repainted white every three months and that is included. Want it a colour? A colour change and the repaint back to white is £900+VAT, excluding the paint you choose; allow a day to cure. The cove is two walls, 5.3m x 7.1m floor area, with a return on the third wall and 4.5m of clear height to the lighting grid.
Can I black the studio out completely?
Yes. A curtain track runs the full perimeter, turning the cove into a 360-degree black box in about twenty minutes.
Does the White Space have a rain rig?
Yes. Installed in 2025, it is one of very few in the South of England. It is quoted separately because setup and water management need planning. Ask when you book.
Can I drive a vehicle in?
Yes, vehicle shoots are a regular booking. Tell us the vehicle and we will confirm access and floor protection.
Is lighting included?
The house rig is included: incandescent and LED across an 8-bar grid with 42 dimming channels under DMX control. Specialist fixtures are available to hire on top.
