The prospectus got them to the website. The film does the rest.
Most families now meet a school on a screen long before they meet it at the gate, and many relocating or overseas families choose from the film alone. A prospectus can describe a school; only film can let a parent feel what a Tuesday morning there is actually like.
The schools that film well do a few things differently. They let pupils talk, because parents believe children in a way they will never believe a voiceover. They film ordinary excellence, a rehearsal, a science lesson going right, rather than only speech-day polish. And they cut it to length: a headline film for the admissions page and short pieces for each department, open day and social channel.
We film at your school, on your terms, under your safeguarding policies and with your consent records, then finish everything at our studio. Heads' welcomes and staff interviews can also be filmed here at the barn, which some heads prefer to a busy school day.
What admissions teams commission
A film library that works the whole admissions cycle.

The admissions film
The flagship: three to four minutes that carry the feel of the school, led by pupils and staff rather than a script. Cut down into 60- and 30-second versions for campaigns and social.

Virtual open days
Department tours, boarding house walk-throughs and a head's welcome, structured so an overseas family can genuinely evaluate the school remotely, and so UK families arrive already half-decided.

Staff recruitment films
Teaching posts are a market too. Films that show what it is like to teach and live at the school reach candidates the TES advert never will.
An admissions interview set, dressed and lit.
How it works
1. Brief call
Twenty minutes on what you do, who you want to reach and what the content is for. Free, and useful even if you never book.
2. The plan
We map a shot list and a running order to your calendar, so the day is booked against real posts and real campaigns.
3. The day
You and your people come to the barn. We direct, film and photograph the lot. Most clients say it is the easiest shoot they have done.
4. Edit & deliver
Cut, graded, captioned and sized per platform, delivered through a shared gallery ready to publish.

Questions we get asked
How do you handle safeguarding and consent?
Your policies lead. We work to the school's safeguarding requirements, film only pupils with consent on record, and hand over footage logs so your team can audit exactly who appears. Filming is scheduled with your staff present throughout.
When should a school film?
Summer term for grounds and light, autumn for the open-day push. A two-visit plan, one in each, catches the school in both registers and keeps the film honest across the year.
How long does an admissions film take?
Typically two to three filming days and three to four weeks of edit, planned around the school calendar. Rush versions for a looming open day are possible if the filming is done.
Can pupils really carry the film?
They are the film. Parents discount adult voiceover almost completely and believe pupils almost completely. We interview well-prepared pupils in pairs, which relaxes them, and the school approves every frame used.
What does it cost?
The full Signature Production is from £4,950+VAT depending on filming days and deliverables. Single films from £1,250+VAT. Every school is quoted on scope before committing.
