Sound & post-production

Good sound is invisible and bad sound is unwatchable. The edit is where the film actually gets made.

On the floor

Recordists with lapel and boom kits cover interviews, panels and drama. In the podcast studio the microphones and treatment are already in place, which is why the room sounds the way it does.

After the wrap

Editors cut to brief and to brand guidelines. Colour, captions, music licensing and exports for every platform follow. For podcast clients, editing and publishing are bundled into the packages on podcast.granary.digital.

Questions we get asked

Do I really need a sound recordist?

If people speak on camera, yes. Camera-top microphones record the room, not the person. A recordist with lavs and a boom records the person. It is the cheapest insurance on any production.

What does post-production include?

Editing, grade, captions, mix and platform exports. Tell us where the film will live and we deliver the right versions: broadcast, web, social, internal.

Can you edit footage we shot ourselves?

Yes, that is a regular booking. Send a sample clip first so we can confirm the material before quoting.
